Mytek Europe 2021 / Manhattan DAC II firmware version 2.31 To update Manhattan II DAC firmware to the latest revision installed Mytek Control Panel is required. The update can be performed on Windows 7,8,10 and OSX Yosemite / El Capitan / Sierra / High Sierra / Mojave. IMPORTANT NOTE No1 To be able to upgrade the Manhattan II DAC firmware to version 2.02 or higher Mytek Control Panel version 1.50 (or higher) is necessary. Up to date version of Mytek Control Panel is always available at www.mytekdigital.com support page. IMPORTANT NOTE No2 If going from firmware 1.12 or earlier: The firmware file "Mytek_Manhattan_DAC_II_firmware_v2.02_for1.12upgrade" must be uploaded FIRST to perform the update. Otherwise the DAC will not be programmed properly! When this fails please try again using the same file. If the update fails again use the "Mytek_Manhattan_DAC_II_firmware_v2.31.mfb" file (it may be necessary to use the procedure from "When the update fails" paragaph). How to update the firmware: Start Mytek Control Panel application. The program ("General" tab / "Firmware" section) will show you the current revision of your unit, and whether it needs an update or not. If so, then simply press the "Load firmware file" button to find the chosen firmware file. Next click "Update" button. A progress bar will indicate when the flash process is finished. Please wait at least 1 minute and the DAC will reset itself. Before normal operation we recommend to restore the Manhattan II DAC to factory settings. A reboot of the computer is not necessary. When the update fails: Press and hold the first from the left front panel button (apart from the power switch) and while holding this button turn the Brooklyn Manhattan II DAC on. The DAC will start in Bootloader mode - "MYTEK" is displayed on the dot matrix display. The flash process should then be tried again.
